Baiona is one of the most beautiful areas I have ever experienced. Northern Spain as a whole is a delight but Baiona is absolutely lovely and is a good base for accessing other parts of the north of the country. It is also located on the Camino so is a great base for walkers. The walking in this particular area is flat so is accessible to all. Plenty of excellent eateries serving a wide range of dishes but specialising in fish/shellfish dishes and tapas. Foodies will not be disappointed! Baiona is easy walking, a delight for the eyes and the senses. The walk around the coastal path that takes you around the base of the Parador is superb with superb views of the Cies islands. What a stunning area. Do visit if you can, you will not be disappointed! We were touring and spent four nights there... it was not long enough. We very rarely visit the same place twice... I would go back there tomorrow!!

Nice town.
Nice town. The Spanish stick to the legend that America was "discovered" other than invaded and robbed, but that's just the Spanish "interpretation" of Columbus's journey. Visit the castle. Eat the local sea food.

Baiona is a lovely city, perfect for a short break. Enough to keep you occupied for a couple of days and fantastic restaurants and bars for the evenings. For a special treat stay at the Parador or value for money lovely friendly, clean 2 star hotel Rompeolas. For great food head for the restaurant El Corralito.

Good facilities in the town and lots to do in the surrounding area. Would recommend hiring bikes from La Pedaleria - excellent bikes and very good value and lovely to ride along the flat cycle route stopping off at the beautiful beaches. Santiago is beautiful and well worth visiting for the day. Also beautiful mountains and we found some lovely mountain pools to swim in.

The Virxe da Rocha and the views from there are a must!
The Virxe da Rocha and the views from there are a must! The Fortaleza and the route are great, and so is the Castle! You can also go for a walk to the riverfront and enjoy the sea breeze and a fantastic view of the sea. The old city has very nice bars and restaurants, although barely any vegetarian options! If the weather is nice there are many nice beaches around, but if it isn't you can still stroll around and have fun at the bars and restaurants!
Overlooking Baiona, this modern apartment has panoramic views and everything you need from a holiday rental. It’s a short walk into the centre and has everything you need for short or long term stays. Waking up to this vista took our breath away every day. Plenty of room and fully equipped, we really couldn’t ask for more. The shared pool area is well maintained and the pool is big. All in all, we loved it and would definitely return. Baiona is such a great town with lovely beaches and top notch restaurants. Highly recommend.
The beautiful location and garden. The grandeur of the hotel, the parlour and dining areas with views of the garden. What was truly outstanding was the kindness and caring of the owner and his daughter. Their passion and commitment is exceptional. They were attentive to their guests, while leading and teaching the others. Everyone we encountered was extra helpful. The breakfast was so delicious. The pastry was fabulous and the offerings included some Galician specialties I will never forget.
Marta and Fernando were wonderful, even going as far as rescuing me when my rental car got stuck on a narrow, one-lane country road. (DO NOT go left out of the driveway to return to Baiona!) Then Marta offered to bring me some hot soup, since I didn't want to drive again that evening.
The place is beautifully set in the country, in a very peaceful environment, with easy parking on-site.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully appointed, with strong, fast WiFi.
this is a really lovely pension that is very close to the centre of the old town of Baiona. the staff are very attentive and helpful. we left our bags there hours before we were due to book in. the place is very clean and comfortable. the breakfast is really good value for the extra 7euro a person.
We loved its position, in private grounds on a most beautiful headland. The views were spectacular. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room with wonderful sea views was spacious and beautiful . The bed linen was high quality and the the hotel was spotless throughout
The hotel was in heart of old town of Baiona, perfect location to reach all the touristy attractions by foot. We got a room with a view to marina and the room was really spacious, even after adding an additional bed for our son. Great value for the money!
The location was great - the hotel was almost directly on the Camino in the city center. We were warmly welcomed by the staff the moment we arrived - it felt like coming home. Dinner in the restaurant on the first floor was also exceptional.
a unique chance to stay in the ocean for a couple of day. the houseboat is brand new and in excellent condition.
better facilities than your typical hotel. wifi, shower, full kitchen
bedroom are amazing at night as breeze is perfect.
The hotel cais is directly opposite the ferry port so perfectly located for our trip to the islas cies. It's also seconds away from some fantastic bars and restaurants and a couple of minutes walk to the nearest beach.
Carlos the owner/manager was the complete professional and looked after our every need.
We spent two nights at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed having our beers on the bedroom balcony looking across the bay.
Nice little family run hotel, well located in main street for restaurants and bars, close to beach and marina.
Helpful friendly owners. Reasonably basic traditional rooms but comfortable and very clean.
A nice hotel on the Camino path, sea views and wonderful staff who were extremely helpful and kind.Even went out and found me some chocolate(thanks guys) i would stay here again!
Hotel Arce was very clean, comfortable and friendly. Included breakfast was delicious and “Guapo” was extremely friendly and helpful! The location is also very good
The apartment is modern, clean and a lovely bathtub. We could walk to everything in Baiona, no need to get the car. Owner was nice and very accommodating.
