Do not hesitate to book Maison Cabral! The perfect location for starting your walks around Porto, and our apartment (Wapa, the one with the loft) was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Susana communicated with us before the trip and through our flight delays. She was consistently warm and welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay, plus always made sure we had local recommendations on places to dine. The honor bar was well-stocked and very nice to have available to us. The apartment was cleaned and made up each day while we were out. Our apartment overlooked the street below, so if you are sensitive to noise you might want to consider that but we took a sound machine and it was no issue. Also, there is a house cat, Luchino, who would be in the reception area when we get back each day and our daughter loved, so if you are allergic then you might choose another location. Overall, we would stay here again and it made our first trip to Porto very special.

The reception upon arriving was exceptional. The rooms are very very clean and comfortable. It was raining and a Sunday when we arrived so places to eat were all closed. The place is like row houses in different state of remodel and all have the potential of being very interesting as does the area. Again we arrived at a bad time and left early the next morning so cant say too much about the area. Id say the remodel is first class but you may find the rooms on the small side but really are adequate. You well be very welcomed here!

We told Alberto, the owner of Maison Cabral, that we would give them 100 stars if it were possible. He and his co-worker Susana were so welcoming, warm, friendly and fun. They went out of their way to help us decide what to do and where to go each day, based on our interests, not just the regular tourist locations. The property itself is beautiful and spotlessly clean. From the outside you would walk right past it on a residential street and not even know there is a hotel hiding there, except for the very small sign. But as soon as you enter that door, you will find yourself in a quiet, gorgeous piece of paradise with the best people you could hope for, who really care about your experience and want everything to be perfect for you. If possible, ask for the private Conguito room in the back of the pool. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
